What to see in the PACA region?
The camping La Rivière is located in the PACA region, a exceptional territory, where many unforgettable natural and tourist sites are to be discovered.
The citadel of Forcalquier offers a breathtaking view of the picturesque landscapes of Provence. The city also has a classified cemetery. Its marché, every Monday morning, is the most beautiful of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
Authentic and full of character, the city of Manosque, which saw the birth of the writer and scriptwriter Jean Giono, offers every year exceptional medieval days.
The town of Lurs, built on a ridge and surrounded by olive trees, offers a sublime panorama on the Durance.
The Verdon gorges, located 50 minutes from the campsite, have the reputation of being the most beautiful in Europe. On the spot, you have the possibility to go on many leisure activities : excursions, canyoning, rafting, pedal boats, swimming… In the Verdon gorges, you can also go on water hiking.
The Provence offers a multitude of other remarkable sites to discover: the Provencal “Colorado” next to Roussillon, the village of Moustier Sainte-Marie famous for its earthenware, the plateau of Valensole known for its lavender fields, the Mées (incredible giant rocks), the village of Dauphin…

The towns and villages of our beautiful region abound with numerous landscapes and places to visit in all seasons.
Near our campsite, the ochre deposits with the exceptional colors of the Provencal colorado are to be discovered through its marked trails.
In the village of Forcalquier, the Couvent des Cordeliers will allow you to participate in many workshops.
